Hadleigh Country Park is one of the largest areas of open space in Essex. The park overlooks the Thames Estuary near to Southend and covers an area of one hundred and fifty two hectares. The country park offers a wide range of habitats from woodland, pastures, hay meadows and marshland and is home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna. The main car park is on Chapel Lane and upon arrival visitors see a large Iron Age roundhouse whilst beyond are the remains of Hadleigh Castle.
