Hickling Broad is the largest and wildest of the Norfolk Broads, with an abundance of nature trails, boardwalks, sailing opportunities and wildlife. One of the most enjoyable and relaxing ways of exploring this area is by hiring your own environmentally friendly electric boat at the little Broadlands town of Potter Heigham. They are easy for beginners and taking a picnic on board completes this wonderful experience. The waterways are clearly signposted and there are plenty of mooring points along the routes.
