This attractive flint and limestone Norman church is set within the quiet picturesque village of Bledlow in the Chilterns. The oldest parts of the church are 12th Century with later substantial building over the next 200 years. Particular points of interest include the 14th Century windows, the 12th Century carved font, and the remains of medieval mural wall paintings in the north aisle. The clock dates from 1690, although the dial was added in the 19th Century. Look out for the caricature of Lord Carrington on one of the corbels and the names of boys from the children’s home carved into the organ panelling while they hand pumped bellows.
