Homerton is one of the University’s most attractive colleges, set amongst wooded areas on the edge of the city and comprised of a mixture of new and old buildings. It is most famous for its education of Teachers in both London and Cambridge for over 150 years, but in recent years has diversified and now offers almost a full range of subjects compared to the other colleges. The architectural highlight of the college is the Gothic Dining Hall constructed in 1890. The college has a grand tradition as a sociable and sporting institution, playing an annual football match against Leyton Orient.
