Situated on the Landguard Peninsula, this is a very popular viewing point, from where visitors can view the Haven area and watch the container ships travelling in and out of the Ports of Felixstowe and Harwich. The foot ferry to Harwich also operates from here during the holiday season. The car park is surprisingly busy, with shipping enthusiasts vying for sea view parking in bad weather. Armed with binoculars, chips and a cup of tea from the snack bar, it is a pleasant way to spend a few hours.
