King’s is one of the oldest and most stunning of all the 31 Cambridge colleges. The college was founded by Henry VI in 1441 and is now the first stop for many Cambridge tourists. Its perpendicular chapel features the highest vaulted roof in the United Kingdom and was completed in 1547 having taken over a century to build. King’s college is a spectacular sight whether you view the front from the street or the back from a punt on the river.
