Leiston Abbey has the extensive remains of a 14th Century monastery set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside just outside the small town of Leiston. The abbey moved there in 1360 and has some strange and unusual architecture that combines Norman and Gothic. In 1536, the church and buildings were looted for stone that account for their patchwork look. The Remains include the transept and cloisters and a restored Lady Chapel. The site is currently occupied by The National School for young chamber musicians, Pro Corda.
