It was in the 12th Century that the majority of this beautiful medieval palace that we see today would have been constructed. Although several sections have been developed and refurbished throughout the years, the majority of the original structure lies in place. The architecture of the palace reflects the enormous power and wealth that the church had at this time in this area.
