Lowestoft Maritime Museum is a registered charity and private museum of the Lowestoft and East Suffolk Maritime Society. It is both maintained and manned by members of the society on a voluntary basis with the premises being grant aided by Waveney District Council. Established in 1968, the museum has been extended since and specialises in the history of the Lowestoft fishing fleet and early commercial activities from sail then steam to diesel. For anyone with an interest in the sea and ships this wonderful little museum is a must.
