Martello Tower 'T' at Felixstowe Ferry is one of 18 towers built along the Suffolk coast and one of four in Felixstowe itself. Constructed during the 19th century, to safeguard the area against invasion by Napoleon, the tower is made from 700,000 bricks and is 13 feet deep on the seaward side. In common with the other towers, it is privately owned and not open to visitors. However, this structure, along with its neighbour, can be viewed by taking a walk on the seawall from Old Felixstowe to Felixstowe Ferry.
