The Michaelhouse project is an interesting and intriguing idea; hoping to give a new, vibrant and modern life to a historic building that had fallen into disrepair. Based in the Medieval fourteenth Century church of St. Michaels, the centre has completely restored the interior of the church. However instead of now being a place of worship, it acts as a museum to the past of the building, a café and a meeting facility in the centre of the city. The building is beautiful and attracts visitors all year round. Weddings sometimes take place in the facility as well as charity events and concerts.
