Middlegate Garden was created out of a derelict site in 2004. The £170,000 regeneration project has transformed this bomb-damaged site into a community garden with apple trees, public art and street furniture. Among its new attractions are: The Wish, a 14-foot steel sculpture by Alison Atkins, a sundial and a stone sofa carved from a single block of Portland Stone. All the works reflect the rich history of Great Yarmouth and were built using high-quality materials and traditional skills.
