This late Medieval bridge is located in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside and is now overseen by English Heritage who is responsible for its preservation and upkeep. The bridge was built as an important part of the major packhorse route that passed through the area between Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds to afford easy crossing of the River Kennett.
