Mundesley Maritime Museum could be one of the smallest museums in Britain. It is located along the main beach road that runs through the small North Norfolk village of Mundesley. The museum is housed in the old coastguard lookout point. Built in 1928 this replaced an older one previously on the site which dated back to the end of the Napoleonic period. Opened in 1995, the museum illustrates Mundesley’s Maritime and village history with many varied and interesting displays. On the first floor a coastguard lookout from earlier times has been created.
