New Hall is a part of the University of Cambridge, and this is the private collection of art that the college has compiled over a period of many hundreds of years. All of the art on display at the collection is made or painted by women, which gives it a unique feel in the galleries of the region. Maggi Hambling, Barbara Hepworth, Paula Rego and Eileen Cooper are amongst the first class artists represented here.
