Oxburgh Hall is a property that is looked after by the National Trust, and therefore has been well restored and preserved. The 15th Century moated manor house is one of the finest examples of its type left in this region. There are many fascinating attractions to discover within the house that include a series of priest holes, Mary Queen of Scots' embroideries, French parterre and many other antiques.

On my visit to Norfolk I was pleasantly surprised by how many magnificent Tudor houses exist in the county including this marvellous example just outside of Downham Market. My guide told me it was built in 1482 and has played a part in history being the home, for a while, of Queen Mary, Queen of Scots. Lovely house and gardens. - Jessica Adams
