Parndon Wood Common is a large public park between Parndon Wood and the new town estates of Harlow. The town was designed by Frederick Gibberd who was intent on making sure there were adequate green spaces for local people to rest and relax in. This common is one of the central green areas that has been set aside to allow games of sport, walking, running and dog walking without having to be close to the busy streets.
