Opened in 1932 and renamed following the wedding of Diana and Charles in 1981, the building is noted for its construction in Norfolk Carrstone and is cleverly designed to be used as a live theatre and cinema. Renowned for its pantomimes the theatre also plays host to live music, variety, drama and a Festival of Arts as well as still being used as a cinema. Fantastic sunsets can be seen from its elevated position as this is the only East Coast resort that faces west.
