The river Waverley flows through the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The stretch from Beccles to Geldeston Village is especially impressive offering unique views of Beccles' fine riverside houses. Boat trips heading this way can be joined at Beccles Quay. The River was once much wider at Beccles than it is now, when the area known as Beccles marshes was under water. The river also forms the border between Norfolk and Suffolk.
