This museum is dedicated to the life and work of local author Roald Dahl. It is very much an active hand-on experience for children and their parents. There are permanent exhibitions exploring Dahl’s boyhood and adult life and the influences on his work and a story centre packed with activities for budding authors, including interactive features using the latest technology. There is also a changing exhibition area, shop and café. In addition, the museum houses an academic archive of Dahl’s writing that is accessible by prior application.
