This museum was built as a lasting memorial to Adam Sedgwick and was opened at the University of Cambridge in 1904. It contains some of the most important collections related to earth sciences anywhere in the country. Exhibits are varied and come from many sources including significant pieces donated by world-famous figures in the field such as Charles Darwin and May Anning.
