Sewell Park was opened on July 9th 1909 and is named after Anna Sewell, authoress of Black Beauty, who lived a short distance away in Old Catton from 1867-1878. Two spinster family members, between the late 1800’s and 1909, gave the land to "the corporation of Norwich". It can be found near to Norwich City centre between St Clement’s Hill and Constitution Hill. The small triangular park has pleasant seating areas and a children’s play area as well as a large grassy slope and planted borders.
