Munnings was famous for his depiction of East Anglian rural life in the early twentieth century and later for his paintings of racehorses. He lived and worked in Castle House for over 40 years and although it has been restored, it retains much of the character as lived by the Munnings. Visitors may also walk the well maintained gardens and visit the studio where Sir Alfred undertook much of his work. There is a regular rotation of pictures on view in the gallery.
