The sports pitches and gardens of Southend’s Southchurch Park are as popular today as they were in 1895, when the Park was presented to the town. Other attractions include a model boating lake, a children's play area and bowls and croquet areas. Sporting events are held here all year, and spring displays of bedding plants are especially good. The park is a short walk from the seafront.
