In the centre of the city of Lincoln stands a church that despite its age blends into the urban landscape without sticking out at all. St Mary le Wigford Church is a medieval church, with a Norman nave, however much of the building has been restored, particularly during the the late 19th Century. An added gem to the church is a Roman grave slab that has been inscribed both by the Romans and by the Saxons with dedications. It has been inserted into the tower, on the Western side.
