This handsome brick and flint parish church is situated in the oldest part of the attractive market town of Princes Risborough. The Church is Norman with Tudor additions and a modern tower and steeple. The original tower collapsed in 1804. The tower clock was restored to celebrate the Millenium. The church is built on the site of the 14th Century Manor of the Black Prince, from whom the town takes its royal title. All that remains are the earthworks that form the boundary of the churchyard. St Mary’s welcomes visitors (see website for times) and has a small library and bookstall.
