The Suffolk Coast and Heaths Path is a long-distance footpath between Lowestoft and Manningtree. Covering 80 km, it passes through the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its ancient heaths, shingle beaches, crumbling cliffs, waterlogged marshes and abundant wildlife. Also en route are bustling towns and sleepy villages. Among them, the fashionable resort of Southwold, the artists' paradise of Walberswick, and the disappearing cliff-edge village of Dunwich.
