The life and times of England’s greatest naval hero are celebrated here, in the only museum in the country devoted solely to Lord Nelson, set in a striking Grade II listed building on Great Yarmouth’s historic South Quay. It illustrates his life, from his Norfolk childhood, through his famous battles to his tragic and heroic death. The museum also shows how the public have commemorated Nelson over the last 200 years, and has interactive exhibits and the “Below Decks Experience” to keep younger visitors amused.
