The Plantation Garden really is a hidden gem, in more ways than one, in the centre of Norwich. To find it you need to look between Crofters Hotel and Beeches Hotel, just down from the Roman Catholic Cathedral along Earlham Road. A short pathway leads into a wonderfully restored Victorian town garden just 600 yards from the city centre. The first thing that strikes you when you enter this 140 year old former chalk quarry is a sense of peace and calm as well as a huge gothic fountain.
