Bishop’s Mill is built of Thetford grey brick under a tile and slate roof and was once a paper mill. Once known also as St Audrey’s mill it is situated in the very heart of the Norfolk town of Thetford but hidden in a residential housing estate on the banks of the River Little Ouse. The working mill was closed in 1955 but was sympathetically converted to residential use with turbine, gearing and pullies retained in 2000. Although not open to the public some of the original features still remain.
