Thetford Mill is located stretching over the River Thet at Bridges Walk near to the centre of Thetford. The three storeys high building is over 150 years old and at one time contained a water wheel. This was later removed during the Second World War. For many years it was a corn mill but for the last years of its working life the stones were turbine powered and ground coffee. The coffee production ceased in the late 1950s and in 1962 it became a Masonic temple.
