Three Shells Beach is one of two central beaches in Southend. The small clean sandy beach is a Blue Flag winner and a favourite with families. Beach facilities include a shower and a children's play area with Southend's other attractions not far away. Next door is Adventure Island theme park and Southend Pier and, behind them, Southend's High Street with its shops, cafés and restaurants. The beach is cleaned every day by the local traders association.
