Trinity is the largest of all the colleges at either Oxford or Cambridge University. The college was founded in 1546 by Henry VIII and has long been the richest of all the colleges with an estimated financial endowment of over £700 million. A major landowner, it is said that one could walk from Cambridge to Oxford never leaving land that was owned by Trinity. The college is extremely beautiful, nestled by the banks of the river Cam. It has a long and illustrious alumni list and amongst the college’s treasures are the original Winnie the Pooh sketches housed in the Trinity Library.
