Grade I listed, this is one of the finest Meeting Houses in Britain, and, it is thought, the only surviving timber-framed one from the early 1700s. Much admired when it was built, it is outstanding inside and out. Surviving features include a beautifully carved pulpit, a magnificent gallery, original box pews and a spy hole left over from more dangerous times. In 2000, the Meeting House celebrated its 300th anniversary.
