This war memorial is one of the central features of this beautiful Essex village that stands on the edge of Greater London. The monument was constructed on the main thoroughfare so that all who pass are aware of the great sacrifice that was made during the 20th Century by not only the people of the area, but across the world to defend our basic rights to freedom.
