These eighteenth Century gazebos are situated at the bottom of the former coaching inns' gardens. The gazebos line the bank of the River Lee which was an important trading route for transportation of goods such as malt into London. They are thought to be the only group of gazebos in Britain. Many of the gazebos have recently been restored and their tranquillity protected from neighbouring developments as part of a project by the Ware Society.
