Waterloo Park can be found between Aylsham Road and Angel Road, to the north of Norwich City centre. It was one of a series of formal parks that formed a building and planting programme after world war one, taking advantage of government grants. They are all characterised by their formal geometric layout. Opened in 1933 it today boasts to having one of the longest herbaceous borders in the United Kingdom. There are facilities for tennis, putting, bowls, children’s play area, large paddling-pool, bandstand and Pavilion.
