The Winter Gardens have been entertaining holidaymakers in Great Yarmouth since 1904, when the vast glass building arrived in the town. It was brought here pane by pane on a barge from Torquay, where it had been much less popular. In fact, the Great Yarmouth Corporation paid just £1250 for it - one tenth of its original cost. It is now a popular family attraction with a Children's Adventure Jungle, a bistro and a bar.
