These gardens are some of the best arranged and kept in the country, and are a real secret gem of the Bedfordshire countryside. The gardens have a long and fascinating history that dates back to early Victorian times, having originally been modelled on the phenomenal grounds of the Palace of Versailles. The gardens sit in the shadow of the old manor house, the ancestral home of the De Grey family. There are several displays that will teach you more about the history of the place and the people.
