A community of Baptists have been worshipping in the village of Melbourn since 1670. However for many years the Baptist community in the village were persecuted and tortured and it wasn’t until 1853 that this church was constructed for worship. The interesting building stands close to the centre of this busy village and is home to a large congregation of committed Christians who travel from the surrounding villages to worship.
