The Scottish Poetry Library was founded in 1984 and has in a relatively short time amassed an incredible collection of poetic works from many hundreds of years of history. The emphasis of the collection is on contemporary Scottish works, but there are selected works from around the world. For those wishing to learn more about the history of Scottish literature there are several informative displays and exhibitions.
