Adjacent to the Playfair Hall at the very heart of Edinburgh, this museum is dedicated to exploring and illustrating the scope of modern surgery and medical practices. There are on display a variety of exhibits that go into detail of many of the most common surgical procedures, as well as some more unusual cases. Through reference to texts and artefacts, the museum explores the city of Edinburgh’s unique contribution to medical research.
