The Talbot Rice Gallery is the main public art gallery of the University of Edinburgh and is committed to showing a diverse range of exhibitions by Scottish and international artists. The permanent collection of the university is housed in the Georgian Gallery that was designed by William Playfair. On average the gallery hosts five major visiting exhibitions a year, designed to stimulate and excite artistic interest.
