Glasgow Cathedral, some 15 minutes walk from the city centre, is an impressive building, with a history that spans the development of the city itself. A shining example of pre-Reformation Gothic architecture, it is the only mainland Scottish cathedral to have survived the Reformation complete. It was built during the 15th Century, allegedly over the tomb of St. Kentigern. The vaulted crypt, the stone screen of the early 15th century and the Blackadder Aisle are three of the more notable features of the building.
