The museum, founded in 1975, is the only Museum of Social Work in Europe. It aims to increase public awareness of the social welfare needs of society, particularly those who are marginalised. Heathbank Museum, part of Glasgow Caledonian University, has an innovative, exciting and interactive permanent gallery right in the centre of Glasgow. The museum also has an extensive book, picture, archive, journal and resource libraries.
