The McLean Museum and Art Gallery represents one of the best small municipal museums in Scotland. It has an extensive series of exhibitions on show that relate to the history of the area and its people. These include a dedicated section regarding the work and life of James Watt, pieces that show the progression of natural history in the region, model ships, engines and a beautiful, locally-inspired collection of art.
