The McLellan Galleries were opened in Glasgow in 1856 and were named after their architect and creator Archibald McClellan. The fantastic series of rooms has in the ensuing time been used to house a variety of great exhibitions, and continues to be one of the most popular venues for art exhibitions in the city.
