This twenty-two-acre park is one of the foremost industrial heritage attractions in Scotland. Situated around the site of a 19th Century Summerlee Ironworks close to a section of the Monklands Canal, the only electric tramway in the region operates along the waterway with a range of modern and historic rolling stock. The undercover exhibition hall is filled with interesting artefacts from the past such as a Scottish cinema organ and several exhibits related to mining.
