The Barrowland Ballroom - also known as The Barrowlands or just simply The Barras - has been a major concert venue in Glasgow for many decades. Notable acts to have performed here include David Bowie, U2, REM, Blondie, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Marilyn Manson and Elvis Costello. It’s also been popular with homegrown Scottish talent such as Deacon Blue, Del Amitri, Simple Minds, Big Country and The Jesus and Mary Chain. It has a modest capacity of just 1,900 but has an excellent reputation for attracting top performers.
