Tree-ring dating has shown that this timber-framed listed building dates from 1475. There are over 1800 listed buildings in and around Tewkesbury, and this one has been restored with care. So much so, that the work won the restorer, John Dimbylow of Splitlath Construction, the Civic Society Award for Restoration. Outside, the building is painted with traditional lime wash and the close-set studding – vertical timbers - can still be seen. Inside, the original ceiling decoration remains.
